THE VOID
Did you know that God does not evaluate you according to how ‘good’ a person you are? He only sees one thing. He sees that your spirit is either 100% pure or it’s not. And whether our sins and shortcomings are large or small makes no difference to God. The same way for example, that whether you mix a teaspoon of dog poop into the cookie dough batter or add a whole log into the mix, the entire batch is contaminated. Sin contaminates the human spirit and separates us God. Separation from God creates a void in our lives.
The good news? God loves you so much that He created a way to cleanse your entire spirit of ALL its sins–past, present, and future. How? By sending Jesus down to earth on a rescue mission–to live a perfect life on your behalf, to suffer and die for your offenses, and to rise again 3 days later as your scapegoat, your Savior.
You are made up of 3 parts: a physical body, a soul (your mind, will and emotions), and an eternal spirit. When you accept God’s invitation to transfer your sins onto Jesus, your spirit becomes ‘justified’ (just as if I’ve never sinned) in God’s eyes. Your spirit also becomes incorruptible (unable to ever be contaminated again) so your relationship with God is restored now and forever. This transformation of your spirit is called being ‘saved’ or ‘born again.’ (UP NEXT: FILLING THE VOID)
